Toomas Kuusing

Toomas Kuusings paintings are recollections of performances. Instances, drawing fundamental elements of the transient. The paintings are the most part and related to despict the collective performance work by artist group Non Grata, the imagination of the painter forming a kind of post-production on the video documentation work. Primarly the performance artist, Toomas Kuusing uses painting to despict images that couldn`t possibly be made- physically- during live performance. His work focuses on deconstructing the performance process, allowing him to tame the body`s limitations of movement and control. Frozen moments in time, they are nonetheless the development and celebration of these live, evolutive actions.
