Siram Artist's statement
Art is a way to survive. Regarded to be irrational art is actually the very rational method to analyse and synthesize all different phenomenons of the being. It is not rational in pure scientific sense - science looks for ultimate and universal principles in the material world. Unfortunately it is not rational to forget about the fact that there are in the reality meny influencial factors beyond and between the materia. Art gives a possibility to integrate both material and immaterial factors also keeping in mind the time- and purpuse-based relations between them.
About current paintings and prints:
Siram Victim of Life We have already enough monuments for the victims of communism, fascism, capitalism and postmodernism. And enough trouble with erecting and taking down of them. If people hope that launching or exterminating some -ism make them happier then that is yet important but still just a part of the solution. There are moments when is necessary to spank the society and there are times when the only way is to look into the mirror. Neither medical bills nor verbal abuse help when life sucks. One has to analyze the situation and one's position in it and make clear what is wrong on the picture. There is no point to blame neither yourself nor society but just figure out which fears and obsessions come from bringing-up, family, school, history, religion, mass media, and last but not least - which come from mistakes made and wrong thoughts of yourself. At once one must consider that all those influences include also something good worth to save. While deconstructing we should not forget to put the object back together in a more reasonable way, to see how all things are interconnected in the whole. Art is a pretty good mean to complete such analyze and synthesis.
