Live performance of "653 Days" with Philip Brehse and Martin Reckhaus, Alchemical Theater, N.Y.C, in Berlin at the International Congress of Performance Art, produced by Galery So To Do, Berlin in cooperation with Open Space. Acting in "The Story of Oily Fossil", directed by Ahmed Shah, Living Newspaper, performed mostly in Berlin`s alternative art spaces and squats.

Acting in the Open Space Theater production "Mania Thebaia", a Trilogie of the antic Tragedies of "Antigone", "Bakchen", "Die Stadt soll zahlen", directed by Philip Brehse and Arno Kleinofen toured in several Berlin Theaters and art spaces, squats and Street performances.

Artistic director and Cofounder of the Open Space, Adalbertstr.32, Berlin, a cultural center working with the concept of "artists presenting artists", which became a platform of international artists and political activists, to strengthen anarchic subculture in Berlin and beyond.
Open Space organized and hosted many cultural and political events in it´s own space and in outer space, until we closed on the 31st.of December 2006, because of reactionary political moves and harassments by Berlins city authorities.
Foundation of Open Space Art Consult Office, Nov 2006, for the cultural management of the activities of Open Space of associated artists and the Performance Group Perormunion Open Space.
The office also supports the networking in Berlin and worldwide between alternative Art spaces, political and social Minorities and Groups to enlarge the public space for cultural activities and communication in a commercialised society

Michael Steger has his own silversmith workshop, atelier in Adalbertstr. 32 just next to the former cultural center Open Space where he creates exclusive jewellery for private clients, designs Light objects for Berlin Clubs and Cafes (Cafe Stadler) in cooperation with the young Designer Tom de Pascalis, extraordinary accessoirs for fashion designers (latest showings in the Vivienne Westwood`s "best of" defilee 2005 and 2003), does sometimes restaurational works in metal for Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbestitz.
His collection of jewellery and silver was rarely shown in Galerie Heidenreich, Schillerpalais, Löwenpalais Stiftung Starke, Berlin, Galerie Handwerk, München.
He also loves to teach workshops in the alchemical universe of crafts of gold and silversmithing to an interested audience.

In the recent years, Michael Steger improves his artistic skills in an ongoing autodidactic process (learning by doing) combined by the advice of his teachers which is since many years his artistic partner Philip Brehse (Theater, Biomechanik), and others like Imre Thormann (Butoh, 2007), Gennadi Bogdanov, Mime Centrum Berlin (Biomechanik/ Meyerholds, 2001-2003, presentation at the Staatsoper unter den Linden and at Theaterhaus Mitte).
While working for official cultural Institutions like Theaterhaus Mitte and Kunst und Aktionsraum Schillerpalais, he also has taken courses in cultural management, fundraising, project management, PR, with Dr. Antje Budde and Barbara Müller, organized by Förderband e.V, Berlin in 2003-2005.
